The client envisions a modern, eco-friendly garden that serves as both a sanctuary for wildlife and a peaceful retreat for humans. Their design reflects a strong commitment to environmental stewardship, sustainability, and coexistence with nature. The garden incorporates climate-resilient features and technologies that align with current ecological challenges, including a natural swimming pool, a ground source heat pump, and solar panels paired with a Tesla Powerwall for energy efficiency.

Key sustainable elements include wildflower-covered flat roofs, a hot composter, and a greenhouse, alongside water-resilient landscaping that facilitates effective drainage while also storing water for drought conditions. Wildlife is at the heart of the design, with features like bug hotels, bird boxes, feeders, hedgehog houses, and fence tunnels to encourage biodiversity. Planting will support pollinators year-round, ensuring a thriving, dynamic ecosystem.

The garden is designed to feel natural and unmanufactured, offering a tranquil refuge from daily life. It will also function as a versatile space for entertaining, with a dining area for at least six people, a BBQ or pizza oven, and the flexibility to accommodate larger gatherings in various weather conditions. The overall goal is a harmonious blend of sustainability, functionality, and modern, relaxed living.
