The south facing front garden was considerably overgrown. We cut back the overgrowth or prune some of the trees leaving a few of the key mature plants such as the Taxus hedge, the fig tree and a large hydrangea.  Directly behind the hedge we put shade loving plants such as Mahonia, tree ferns,  foxgloves and hellebores.  In front of the bay window we placed some sun loving plants such as palms, phormiums, euphorbias, alliums and agapanthus.
