A family with young children wanted a playground area for slides and swings that could be transformed at a later stage when the children were older. We removed an overgrown rockery and paving and used timber sleepers and back filled with soil to create a planter border and flat area for the children's play equipment. We laid a weed membrane and added bark chips.

At the rear of the overgrown, slanted garden we added a timber shed on raised pads so the water could flow underneath and we didn't have to pour vast amounts of concrete.

We also added a large glass room with a decked floor that could be used as a play area while the children were young and also used a a glasshouse for plants at a later stage.
