There was a very low budget for this project and a very quick deadline. The clients wanted lots of flowers and lots of evergreen plants. We used a gravel path with Corten edging for travelling around the garden. The two large trees aligning the street provided considerable shade but some sunshine managed to reach the soil in front of the bay windows.

So the garden is in two contrasts, the plants that thrive in the shade - ferns, Hellebores, Fatsia and Mahonias and those that require full sun - Palm, Cordyline, Echium, Echinops, Alliums and Euphorbias and many more!
