The seaside holiday home with a tired front garden was modernised by removing the 60s breeze blocks and adding cobbles so it was low maintenance, low budget and gave a coastal feel.
The back garden had retaining walls very close to the back of the house. These were moved backwards and the ground retained with railway sleepers to allow space for a wooden table and chairs. The old shed was painted a fun pastel shade and semi concealed with Passiflora evergreen climbers.
Palms , Cordyline, Flax and Sedum were added for a low maintenance but contemporary feel.
